Hi! I am Rick and welcome to Tar Heel Camper! My wife and I grew up camping in both pop-up campers and travel trailers. In 1995 we bought our first travel trailer and began enjoying the RV lifestyle with our own family – our special needs son, teenage daughter, and two dogs. Since then, we have moved on to a Class C motorhome and eventually on to our current Class A motorhome. When we are not working at our real jobs, we love to travel and enjoy our beautiful country. To date we have traveled over 100,000 miles in our RVs.
Tar Heel Camper is a travel blog focused on our adventures around North America and RV experiences including camping, nature, amusement parks, theme parks, the RV lifestyle, and the great outdoors. Oh, and I almost forget to mention roller coasters! Who doesn’t love roller coasters?!?
I am an avid amusement park and roller coaster enthusiast, and I donate time and resources to help out some great organizations such as Give Kids the World and Carowinds Connection when not traveling or working on Tar Heel Camper.
To keep up to date with our latest travels and to check out RV tips and tricks, please explore our website, like our page on Facebook, follow us on Twitter and Instagram, pin our pins on Pinterest, or check out our photostream on Flickr. But most importantly, get outdoors and have some fun with your family!
Here are the states and provinces that we have visited on our quest to travel to all 50 U.S. States and all 13 Canadian Providences.
